About AAR Healthcare Uganda
AAR Healthcare Uganda Limited is a subsidiary of AAR Healthcare Holdings Limited operating in Uganda as one of the leading medical service providers in the country. As pioneers in the provision of private healthcare in the region, AAR’s success has largely been driven by our people and their commitment to always offer high quality and affordable healthcare – by operating responsibly, executing with excellence, applying innovative technologies and capturing new opportunities for profitable growth.
AAR Healthcare is currently one of the largest providers of outpatient healthcare services in East Africa, with a network of 14 clinics across the country and serving over 200,000 clients annually from across the social divide. At AAR Healthcare, we employ experienced medical and management staff, and use internationally approved disease management protocols and drug formulary supported by the state of the art information technology systems to provide consistent treatment for our clients from anywhere in East Africa.
Our History
We started in Uganda in 1994 with our first clinic at Clement Hill employing 50 staff and offering purely out-patient services. We have since expanded to 14 clinics employing over 400 professionals from various academic disciplines and we are still growing to bring quality healthcare closer to Ugandans.

Our high level of skills among our staff ensure that our clients get the most efficient and expedient service whether in our clinics or when using any of our healthcare services. Our Technology
Our integrated information system provides accurate and continuous medical care for clients within the East Africa region giving us competitive advantage and enhanced service delivery resulting to better health outcomes. With our automated technology, we are able to map out both preventative and curative healthcare solutions. Crucial information that gives us an upper hand in adapting tailor-made solutions targeted at both our corporate and individual clients leading to improved health index across the board e.g. preventative health talks organized for our corporate members
Our Clinic Designs & Layout
Our clinics are designed with the patient’s needs in mind;
- All our clinics are located in premises where adequate ventilation, clean and safe water and sanitary facilities are readily available.
- All consultation rooms are fitted with hand washing sinks to avoid cross infections.
- Computers in the consultation rooms are well positioned to maintain one-on-one dialogue with our patients whilst referring to the computer data/files when necessary.
- The rooms are sized to accommodate easy wheelchair access.
- The room layout is to provide “staff” and “patient” zones to afford patient privacy.
